As a clinician certified in the It Takes Two to Talk® program, I'm here to support both you and your child. This approach is designed specifically for young children with language delays, and it focuses on helping you become a key part of your child's communication development.
I'll coach you in using simple, proven strategies during everyday routines-like mealtime, bath time, play time or even a trip to the store-to help your child learn language in fun, natural ways. By focusing on your child's interests and your unique relationship, we can turn ordinary moments into powerful learning opportunities.
This program also recognizes that parents are active learners too. My role is to support you with tools, feedback, and guidance that build your confidence. Together, we'll make language learning an ongoing, natural part of your day, and give your child the best chance to grow and thrive.
When it comes to helping your child develop strong communication skills, small everyday moments can make a big difference. Through my training in the Learning Language and Loving It™ program, I support parents in using those moments to build their child's language, social and early literacy skills-especially for children who are quieter, harder to engage, or learning a second language.
Sometimes, children who are less vocal or more reserved can miss out on important chances to connect with others. This program is all about making sure those moments aren't lost. I can help you learn simple, research-backed strategies you can use during daily routines and play to make interactions more meaningful and supportive for your child.
Together we will work on:
Encouraging your child's language and social development through everyday activities
Noticing and responding to your child's interests to spark more back and forth interaction
Adjusting how you communicate to help your child grow their vocabulary and language skills
Supporting your child in interacting with peers and learning through pretend play
These strategies help turn regular moments-like playtime, getting dressed, or sharing a snack-into powerful learning opportunities. My goal is to help you feel confident in supporting your child's communication in ways that feel natural, fun and effective.
If your child is autistic or needs support with social communication, it can sometime be hard to know how best to connect. That's where my training in the More Than Words® program comes in-I'm here to help you turn everyday moments into meaningful opportunities for connection and growth.
This program takes a natural, family-centered approach that builds on your child's strengths and interests. Together, we'll explore how your child communicates right now and what captures their attention, so you can better understand their world. From there, I'll guide you in using that knowledge to create longer, more enjoyable interactions that support your child's understanding, communications, and confidence.
Through our work together, you'll learn how to;
Recognize and respond to yur child's unique communication cues
Support your child's social communication during routines and play
Create fun, low pressure moments that lead to deeper connection
Build your confidence as a parent by using strategies that really work for your family
Every child is different, and this program is all about helping you support your child-in ways that feel most natural and meaningful to you both.
Even when a child speaks in full sentences, social communication can still be challenging-especially for autistic children. Through my training in the TalkAbility™ program, I support parents in helping their child move beyond words to connect more deeply with others.
Social communication is more than just talking. It's about understanding the back-and-forth of conversation, picking up on non-verbal cues, and seeing thing from another person's point of view. In TalkAbility™, I'll guide you through strategies that you can use in your everyday routines to help your child build these important skills in a way that's natural, respectful, and fun.
Together, we'll focus on:
Better understanding your child's perspective
Helping your child understand how others think and feel
Supporting your child in having longer, more meaningful conversations with both adults and peers
Encouraging friendship skills and confidence in social situations
This research-based approach is grounded in your child's strengths and interests and it fits into the moments that matter most, like playing, chatting or running while helping your child grow their communication and social confidence.
