At Kids' Communication Crew, we believe every child deserves to feel confident and connected—just as they are. This online group is designed to help kids to build their communication skills in a fun, friendly, and inclusive space.
Whether your child is a quiet observer, a passionate storyteller, or still figuring out how to join in, our group supports authentic and effective communication—the kind that helps kids build better relationships with family, friends, and the world around them.
Sessions are designed around participants' needs, and often include:
Practicing real-life conversation skills (such as turn-taking, listening, and asking questions)
Playing interactive games that support flexible communication
Exploring how to express thoughts, feelings, and needs in a healthy way
Learning tools for resolving conflict and navigating tricky social situations
Kids' Communication Crew is for children ages 8 to 12 who could benefit from support to connect with others. Whether they’re shy, neurodivergent, socially curious, or just looking to build stronger communication skills, this group offers a safe and welcoming space to grow. We support all kinds of communicators and celebrate each child’s unique way of expressing themselves.
Kids' Communication Crew meets online using Zoom. Our newest practicum student from McGill University, Ethan, will lead the group with support from Speech-Language Pathologist Stephanie Harvey. The weekly sessions offer a supportive, engaging environment where every child is valued. Each group is intentionally kept small to allow for personalized attention and meaningful interactions. Sessions may include role-playing, games, collaborative problem-solving, and guided discussions—so kids have fun while practicing real-life communication skills with low pressure. Whether your child is learning to manage group conversations, express feelings clearly, or navigate friendship challenges, they’ll find helpful tools and friendly faces here.
Warm, nonjudgmental environment
Encouragement without pressure
Strengths-based and neurodiversity-affirming approach
Practical skills kids can use every day
At Kids' Communication Crew, we’ll practice, play, and grow together!
